 C. Robert Taylor and David A. Domina Law have released a paper addressing how to restore economic health to the beef market.

The paper addresses market power in the food industry, the status of the U.S. Beef Market for slaughter in 2010, the status of contract swine production in 2010, a detailed description on the flaws of the beef market and solutions to fix the problems.

OCM believes the meatpackers and their organizations are using age-old tactics to try to kill GIPSA's proposed PSA rules and maintain their stranglehold on dysfunctional markets. They do so to drive down what producers are paid and to drive up what consumers are required to pay them.

This must stop. OCM calls on every American to montior sources of funding and influence for their legislators to insure we have a government "of the people" and not a government "of the corporation."
